Product Specific Information
The SJ25C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells throughout development except plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR to mediate signaling, tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.
SJ25C1 and HIB19 antibodies recognize overlapping epitopes.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (1 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains, expressed on all peripheral B cells. It is also found on certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 serves as a key regulator of B cell proliferation and differentiation, forming part of the B cell receptor complex to amplify antigen receptor signaling. Mutations in CD19 cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
