Product Specific Information
The eBio1D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells at all developmental stages except terminally differentiated plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19.
CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, MHC class II, and the BCR, contributing to B cell activation through tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and proliferation.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes; ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains, expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells. It is also found in certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 serves as a key regulator of normal and malignant B cell proliferation and is expressed in all B cell precursor leukemias.
It functions as a signal-amplifying co-receptor for the BCR, lowering the threshold for antigen receptor-dependent stimulation. CD19 signaling plays a central role in B cell activation and differentiation. Mutations can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression may cause B cell hyperactivity.
