Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody B6H12 reacts to CD47, also known as integrin-associated protein (IAP) and neurophilin.
CD47 is a glycosylated five-transmembrane protein involved in adhesion through interactions with SIRP and integrins (CD51/CD61, CD41/CD61).
It mediates bidirectional signaling, regulates macrophage phagocytosis, and acts as a receptor for thrombospondin.

  • CD47 expression is found in most hematopoietic cells (T cells, B cells, monocytes, platelets, erythrocytes) and also in non-hematopoietic cells.
  • This antibody has neutralizing activity.
  • Reported for flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
  • Tested at 5 µL (1.0 µg)/test, suitable for a final volume of 100 µL per sample.
  • Excitation: 488 nm, Emission: 519 nm, Laser: Blue Laser.

Target Information

CD47 (Integrin-associated protein, IAP) is a ubiquitously expressed transmembrane glycoprotein that interacts with integrins and regulates signaling pathways such as G protein activation.
It functions in calcium signaling upon cell adhesion, serves as a receptor for thrombospondin, and participates in membrane transport and signal transduction.
CD47 binds CD172a (SIRPα) on macrophages, inhibiting phagocytosis of CD47-positive cells.
It plays roles in cell migration, B cell adhesion, T cell activation, chondrocyte mechanotransduction, and neuronal development, especially in synapse-rich brain and retina regions.
