Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Gross cystic disease of the breast is a benign premenopausal disorder characterized by cystic lesions formed from excessive apocrine secretions. The cystic fluid contains several glycoproteins, including the unique 15 kDa monomer protein GCDFP-15 (Gross Cystic Disease Fluid Protein-15).
GCDFP-15 is expressed in apocrine epithelia, lacrimal, ceruminous, and Moll’s glands, as well as in serous cells of submandibular, tracheal, bronchial, sublingual, and minor salivary glands.
GCDFP-15 and prostate-specific antigen are co-expressed in androgen receptor-positive breast tumors.
