Product Specific Information

The MIH1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human B7-H1 (PD-L1), a member of the B7 family with a molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa. B7-H1 is expressed on a majority of leukocytes and acts as a ligand for PD-1. The PD-1/PD-L1 interaction inhibits T and B cell responses. MIH1 is reported as a blocking antibody.

Target Information

Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also known as B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds to programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), negatively regulating T-cell receptor signaling. PD-L1 reduces TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production, and its expression is abundant in many human and murine cancers, upregulated by IFN-γ stimulation. PD-L1 plays an important role in tumor immune evasion.
