Description:
The HK5.3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse B7RP-1, also known as B7h, B7-H2, GL50, and ICOS Ligand. B7RP-1 is a member of the B7 family with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 40 kDa and belongs to the Ig superfamily. It is expressed by antigen-presenting cells such as B cells, monocytes/macrophages, and dendritic cells. B7RP-1 binds to the ICOS molecule expressed by activated T cells, playing an important role in T cell costimulation.

• Blocking in functional assays

Applications Tested:
The HK5.3 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and can be used at ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal assay performance.

Target Information

Inducible co-stimulator ligand (ICOSL) is a specific ligand on antigen-presenting cells and peripheral tissue cells that binds to the inducible co-stimulator receptor (ICOS). ICOS, a member of the CD28/CD152 receptor family, regulates T-cell activation and function. ICOSL expression is found on monocytes, dendritic cells, and B cells, and can be induced by inflammatory stimuli. ICOSL-ICOS interaction provides a co-stimulatory signal for T cell proliferation and cytokine secretion.
