Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Chromosome 1 is the largest human chromosome, spanning about 260 million base pairs and comprising approximately 8% of the human genome. It contains around 3,000 genes, many of which are associated with various diseases such as Hutchinson-Gilford progeria (LMNA gene), familial adenomatous polyposis (MUTYH gene), Stickler syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Gaucher disease, and Usher syndrome. A breakpoint in 1q disrupting the DISC1 gene has been linked to schizophrenia. Chromosome 1 aberrations are also found in multiple cancers including head and neck cancer, malignant melanoma, and multiple myeloma. The CYP4X1 gene product has been provisionally designated CYP4X1 pending further characterization.
