Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
CCHL (cytochrome c-type heme lyase), also known as HCCS (holocytochrome c-type synthase), is a 268-amino-acid mitochondrial inner membrane protein belonging to the cytochrome c-type heme lyase family. It contains two HRM (heme regulatory motif) repeats and facilitates covalent linkage of a heme group to an apoprotein of cytochrome c. The HCCS gene is located on the human X chromosome. Mutations cause microphthalmia syndromic type 7 (MCOPS7), also known as MIDAS syndrome or microphthalmia with linear skin defects (MLS), an X-linked male-lethal disorder resulting in eye deformation, microphthalmia, and skin defects.
