Product Specific Information
The RMP1-30 antibody reacts with mouse PD-1 (programmed death-1), a 55 kDa member of the Ig superfamily. PD-1 contains an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) and plays a key role in peripheral tolerance and autoimmune disease in mice. It is mainly expressed on activated T and B lymphocytes.
Two ligands, PD-L1 (B7-H1) and PD-L2 (B7-DC), interact with PD-1. RMP1-30 does not block the binding of either ligand to PD-1 transfectants.

- Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤ 1.0 µg/test
- A test is defined as the amount of antibody to stain a cell sample in a 100 µL final volume.
- Recommended to titrate for optimal performance.
Brilliant Violet™ 421 (BV421) emits at 423 nm and is for use on cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure compatibility of your instrument.
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
T-cell activation is regulated by PD-1 (PDCD-1), which delivers inhibitory signals upon binding to its ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2 on antigen-presenting cells. These interactions help maintain immune tolerance and prevent autoimmunity. PD-1 deficient mice exhibit hyperactivated immune systems and autoimmune phenotypes. Despite its predicted molecular weight, PD-1 often migrates at higher molecular weight on SDS-PAGE.
