Target Information
Adenovirus는 자연계에 널리 분포하는 DNA 바이러스로, 급성 상기도 감염(감기)의 주요 원인 중 하나입니다. 현재까지 49개의 human adenovirus serotype이 발견되었으며, A~E의 6개 아군으로 분류됩니다. 이들은 호흡기 질환, 결막염, 위장염 등을 유발할 수 있으며, 일부는 성병의 원인으로도 보고되었습니다. 대부분의 경우 자가 제한적인 열성 질환을 일으키지만, 면역억제 환자에서는 재활성화되어 질병을 유발할 수 있습니다. Adenovirus vector, 특히 Ad5 기반 벡터는 유전자 치료 연구에 유망한 도구로 활용되고 있습니다.
