For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

PAI-2 (SERPINB2) is an inhibitory serpin mainly expressed in keratinocytes, activated monocytes, and placental trophoblasts.
It exists as a 47 kDa nonglycosylated intracellular protein and can be secreted as a 60 kDa glycoprotein. Both forms effectively inhibit urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA).
PAI-2 forms dormant polymers under physiological conditions, possibly regulating controlled release from producing cells.
Plasma levels are low except during pregnancy and certain leukemias. PAI-2 secretion from the placenta peaks in the third trimester and declines postpartum.
It plays roles in placental protection, inhibition of metastatic spread (neck, lung, breast cancers), keratinocyte proliferation control, and innate immune response during viral infection.
