Target Information
Anaplastic Lymphoma Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (ALK) belongs to the insulin receptor superfamily and is vital for brain development. Mutations, rearrangements, and amplifications in the ALK gene are associated with various tumors, including anaplastic large cell lymphoma, neuroblastoma, and non-small cell lung cancer. Chromosomal rearrangement often leads to the NPM-ALK fusion gene, which exhibits oncogenic properties. ALK is a receptor protein-tyrosine kinase with transmembrane and extracellular domains, showing high similarity to LTK, and plays a critical role in neuronal development and signaling.
