Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of DARPP-32 only when phosphorylated at Threonine 75.

Target Information

DARPP-32 is a dopamine (DA) and AMP-regulated ~32 kDa phosphoprotein associated with dopaminoceptive neurons. The protein inhibits Protein Phosphatase I when phosphorylated on Thr34, and acts as an inhibitor of PKA when phosphorylated on Thr75. Phosphorylation of DARPP-32 plays a critical role in dopaminergic neurotransmission and is also implicated in the actions of alcohol, caffeine, and Prozac®.
