PYCARD acts as an adapter in multiple inflammasomes (NLRP2, NLRP3, AIM2, IFI16) and modulates NF-κB signaling.
Isoforms may regulate inflammasome activity and cytokine maturation.
In adaptive immunity, it supports dendritic cell maturation and T-cell activation, and may influence cytoskeletal rearrangement and transcriptional activation of cytokines and chemokines.
