Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Protein phosphatase inhibitor-1 (PPP1R1A, also known as IPP-1 or I-1) regulates the phosphorylation of other proteins and is phosphorylated by cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase at Threonine 35.
It is also phosphorylated by Cdk1, Cdk5, and MAPK at Serine 67. In striatal tissues, glutamate-dependent regulation of NMDA-type channels influences phosphorylation at Ser 67.
The localization and expression of IPP-1 suggest distinct roles in specific brain regions and developmental stages, independent of PP-1 regulation.
PP-1 binds both phosphorylated and dephosphorylated IPP-1, and conversion to a Mn++-dependent state may be involved in its regulation by IPP-1. IPP-1 attenuates glycogen phosphorylase activity and contributes to hormonal control of glycogen metabolism.
