Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
HIP2 accepts ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. It mediates the selective degradation of short-lived and abnormal proteins, such as misfolded lumenal proteins in the ERAD pathway. HIP2 ubiquitinates huntingtin and may regulate apoptosis of lipid-bearing macrophages through p53 degradation. It is proposed to be involved in NF-κB ubiquitination and proteolytic processing, and may participate in viral infection-related degradation of MHC class I and RB1 proteins.
