The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
XRCC3 encodes a member of the RecA/Rad51-related protein family that participates in homologous recombination to maintain chromosome stability and repair DNA damage.
This gene complements the repair-deficient Chinese hamster mutant irs1SF, which is hypersensitive to DNA-damaging agents and chromosomally unstable.
A rare microsatellite polymorphism in this gene is associated with cancer susceptibility in patients with varying radiosensitivity.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
