The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).

ZKSCAN5 (also known as ZFP95) is a member of the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. It is an 839 amino acid protein with thirteen C2H2-type zinc fingers, one KRAB A domain, and one SCAN box domain.
ZKSCAN5 is localized in the nucleus and highly expressed in testis, with lower expression in liver, kidney, brain, striated muscle, lung, and heart.
KRAB A box-containing proteins often act as transcription repressors, suggesting a similar role for ZKSCAN5.
Three transcripts of ZKSCAN5 exist due to alternative splicing, one of which is testis-specific. The mouse homolog is differentially expressed during spermatogenesis.
