Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Mammalian apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease (APE/ref-1) is a multifunctional enzyme involved in DNA repair and redox regulation of multiple transcription factors, including Fos, Jun, NF-κB, Myb, HIF-1α, CREB, and Pax.
APE1 participates in the repair of abasic sites in DNA resulting from oxidative damage, chemotherapy, ionizing radiation, or UV exposure. It is differentially expressed across tissues and developmental stages, with localization patterns suggesting interactions with various cellular proteins.
Regulation of APE1 by phosphorylation is mediated by casein kinase II. Expression levels increase in response to reoxygenation of hypoxic cells and in some malignant tissues, while decreases are associated with apoptosis induction.
