Target Information
IL-1 receptor associated kinases (IRAKs) are serine/threonine kinases involved in signaling via Toll/IL-1 pathways. Upon TLR activation, IRAK1 is rapidly recruited by MYD88 to the receptor-signaling complex. IRAK1 is phosphorylated by IRAK4, then undergoes autophosphorylation and activation. It can phosphorylate TIRAP to promote ubiquitination and degradation, and also phosphorylates IRF7, leading to its activation and translocation to the nucleus, thereby inducing type I interferon gene transcription and antiviral responses.
