Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse ADAM15 is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity is observed with rmADAM9, rmADAM10, rhADAM8, rhADAM9, rhADAM10, rhADAM12, rhADAM17 (TACE), rhADAM19, rhADAM22, rhADAM23, rhADAM32, and rhADAM33.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The ADAM15 protein belongs to the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase) family, which includes type I transmembrane glycoproteins involved in cell adhesion and proteolytic ectodomain processing of cytokines and adhesion molecules.
It contains multiple functional domains, including a zinc-binding metalloprotease domain, a disintegrin-like domain, and an EGF-like domain.
Through its disintegrin-like domain, ADAM15 interacts specifically with the integrin beta chain (β3) and Src family protein-tyrosine kinases in a phosphorylation-dependent manner, suggesting roles in cell-cell adhesion and signal transduction.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
