Description:
The CD66a-B1.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD66a, c, d, and e (also known as CEACAM1, CEACAM6, CEACAM3, and CEA). CD66 is expressed on endothelial and epithelial cells, neutrophils, monocytes, and certain tumor cells. Expression can also be induced on T cells, B cells, and CD16-negative NK cells. CD66 exists as multiple splice variants with cytoplasmic ITIM domains that mediate inhibitory signaling in T and NK cells. It plays roles in cell adhesion, growth, neutrophil activation, and signaling, and can form homo- and heterotypic interactions.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in 100 µL final volume. Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

CD66 molecules are 180–200 kDa glycoproteins of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family. They are expressed on blood granulocytes and some tissue macrophages, but not on other hematopoietic cells. Expression increases upon granulocyte activation.
