Target Information
EBP는 소포체의 막단백질로, 항허혈성 phenylalkylamine Ca²⁺ antagonist [³H]emopamil 및 photoaffinity label [³H]azidopamil에 대한 고친화성 결합 단백질입니다. Sigma 수용체와 유사하며, 다양한 조직의 소포체 내 고친화성 약물 결합 단백질 초과가족의 일원일 가능성이 있습니다.
EBP는 세균 및 진핵체 약물 수송 단백질과 구조적 유사성을 가지며, 네 개의 추정 막관통 영역과 두 개의 보존된 glutamate 잔기를 포함합니다. 이들은 양이온성 amphiphilic 물질의 수송에 관여할 수 있습니다.
또한 EBP는 막관통 영역 내 방향족 아미노산 잔기가 23% 이상을 차지하며, 이는 P-glycoprotein을 통한 약물 수송에 관여하는 것으로 제안되었습니다.
EBP 유전자 변이는 Chondrodysplasia punctata 2 (CDPX2, Conradi-Hunermann syndrome) 질환을 유발합니다.
