For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

NEK9 is a NEK-type protein kinase that regulates chromosome alignment and segregation during mitosis. It contains:

• N-terminal NIMA-like catalytic domain
• Central RCC1-like domain (guanine nucleotide exchange factor for Ran)
• C-terminal coiled-coil domain

NEK9 is phosphorylated by active p34(Cdc2), capable of autophosphorylation and oligomerization. The activated protein binds Nek6 and RCC1, associates with Bicd2, and phosphorylates it in vitro. Expression is documented in normal human brain, and ESTs have been identified in normal and cancerous tissues (bone, lymph, thymus, cervix, eye, placenta).
