Product Specific Information

This 13F12F2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human KLRG1, a type II transmembrane inhibitory receptor of the C-type lectin superfamily containing an ITIM domain. It is expressed on subsets of γδ T cells, NK (CD56dim), CD8+ and CD4+ T cells, typically with effector/memory phenotypes.
Cadherin-E, -N, and -R serve as ligands for KLRG1, and their interaction inhibits cytolytic activity and proliferation.

• Excitation / Emission: 405 nm / 600 nm (Violet Laser)

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Use a 610/20 bandpass filter for optimal detection.
For panels using multiple Super Bright dyes, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

KLRG1 (Killer cell lectin-like receptor G1, MAFA, 2F1-Ag) is a homodimeric type II transmembrane receptor belonging to the lectin-like receptor family.
It contains ITIM motifs that interact with SH2 domains of phosphatases such as SHP-1.
KLRG1 acts as an inhibitory receptor expressed on NK cells and certain T cells, involved in lysis of tumor and virus-infected cells, and mediating immune responses.
