Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. It plays a role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration. Ly-6G associates with B2 integrins (CD11a, CD11b) and modulates their expression and function.

Unlike RB6-8C5, this clone binds only Ly-6G on neutrophils and can be used for neutrophil depletion.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimal titration recommended.

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited at 405 nm and emits at 600 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass. Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (SB-4401) when combining multiple Super Bright dyes to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (00-5333). Clone-specific performance should be verified empirically.

Target Information

Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D) is part of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1, along with Ly6C.

• Correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation
