Target Information
CHMP1A는 endosomal sorting required for transport complex III (ESCRT-III)의 주변 구성 요소로, multivesicular bodies (MVBs) 형성과 endosomal cargo 단백질의 분류에 관여합니다.
MVB는 endosome의 제한막에서 내부 소포(ILV)를 생성하며, 주로 lysosome으로 전달되어 막 단백질, 성장 인자 수용체, lysosomal 효소 및 지질의 분해를 가능하게 합니다.
ESCRT 기계는 세포질분열(cytokinesis) 및 바이러스(HIV-1 등) 출아 과정과 같은 막 절단(membrane fission)에도 관여합니다.
CHMP1A는 VPS4A/B를 분열 중인 세포의 midbody로 모집하며, 염색체 응축 및 Polycomb group (PcG) 단백질 BMI1/PCGF4의 응축된 크로마틴 영역으로의 표적화에도 관여합니다.
세포주기 안정적 진행 및 PcG 유전자 침묵화에도 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
