It has been successfully used in Western blot and ELISA procedures.
The immunogen corresponds to residues 31–49 [AQKLGVEQPTLYWHVKNKR] of the 22 kDa Tet repressor protein.
Maintain at 2–8°C for up to 3 months or at –20°C for longer periods. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
The Tet repressor protein (TetR) regulates transcription of tetracycline resistance determinants in Gram-negative bacteria.
The Tet system is widely used for conditional gene expression in eukaryotic cells.
TetR can function without modification in some organisms, while in mammals and other eukaryotes, transcriptional activator or repressor domains are fused to TetR to create an efficient regulatory system.
