Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of TMEM173/STING only when phosphorylated at Ser366.
Target Information
STING is a 379-amino-acid signaling protein that plays a critical role in innate immune signaling. It activates NF-κB and IRF3 transcription pathways, inducing type I interferon (IFN-α and IFN-β) expression and antiviral responses. STING is involved in transduction of apoptotic signals via MHC-II association and may participate in ERK pathway activation. It is localized mainly in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane, cell membrane, and mitochondrial outer membrane, and is ubiquitously expressed in most tissues.
