Target Information
FOXO4 (Forkhead box O4)는 X 염색체에 위치한 FOXO4 유전자에 의해 암호화되며, AFX1 또는 MLLT7(Myeloid/Lymphoid or Mixed-Lineage Leukemia, Trithorax Homolog, Translocated To, 7)로도 알려져 있습니다.
FOXO4는 FOXO1, FOXO3, FOXO6와 함께 forkhead/winged helix 계열의 O class 전사인자에 속합니다.
주로 골격근과 지방조직에서 많이 발현되며, Insulin Responsive Element (IRE)에 결합하여 IGFBP1과 같은 Insulin/IGF1 신호전달 경로의 하위 유전자를 활성화합니다.
Akt에 의한 Ser/Thr 잔기 인산화는 FOXO4가 14-3-3 단백질과 결합하고 핵에서 이동하게 하는 역할을 합니다.
