Target Information
MAP2K3 (MEK3)는 세포 신호전달 경로에서 작용하는 dual-specificity protein kinase로, glucose transporter 발현에 필요합니다. 이 효소는 MAPK14/p38-MAPK를 인산화하여 활성화하며, 인슐린에 의해 활성화될 수 있습니다. RAS oncogene의 발현은 이 효소의 활성형 축적을 유도하여 MAPK14의 지속적 활성화 및 세포의 종양성 변환을 초래할 수 있습니다. 또한 이 효소의 억제는 Yersinia pseudotuberculosis의 병리 과정과 관련이 있습니다. MEK3는 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형체를 통해 다양한 isoform을 생성합니다.
