Description:
The PC61.5 antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2Rα). CD25 is expressed by early progenitors of T and B lineage cells and by activated mature T and B lymphocytes. CD25 alone binds IL-2 with low affinity but forms a high-affinity receptor complex with CD122 (IL-2Rβ) and CD132 (common γ chain). The PC61.5 antibody inhibits IL-2 binding to both high- and low-affinity receptors. CD25 is involved in lymphocyte differentiation and activation/proliferation.

Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and Con A-stimulated splenocytes. Recommended use ≤ 0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimal titration is recommended for best performance.

0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain/IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor component involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. The IL2 receptor complex (IL2RA, IL2RB, IL2RG) forms high-affinity binding sites for IL-2. IL2 plays a critical role as a growth and differentiation factor, regulating immune cell activation and survival. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin-2 receptor alpha deficiency and immune dysregulation.
