Aldh3A2 유전자의 돌연변이는 Sjogren-Larrson 증후군을 유발하며, 이 질환은 선천성 피부 및 신경계 이상을 특징으로 합니다. 병태생리는 피부 및 뇌막의 지질 축적, 알데하이드-아민 결합 생성, 또는 eicosanoid 대사 이상과 관련이 있습니다.
