- PA1-73053 항체는 Adenovirus types 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7a, 8, 31, 40, 41에 반응하며, 다른 유형은 테스트되지 않음.
- Para 1–3, Influenza A & B, RSV, hMPV, Rhinovirus (type 16)와 교차반응 없음.
- Uninfected Hep-2, LLCMK2, Vero cells에 대해 음성 반응 (direct IF).
- 면역형광(immunofluorescence) 응용에 성공적으로 사용됨.
- 항체는 gradient purified, disrupted Adenovirus type 5 virions으로부터 제작됨.

Adenoviruses는 자연계에 널리 존재하는 DNA 바이러스로, 급성 상기도 감염(감기)의 주요 원인 중 하나입니다. 인간 아데노바이러스는 49개 혈청형으로 알려져 있으며, A–E의 여섯 아군으로 분류됩니다.
이들은 호흡기 질환, 결막염, 위장염, 성병 등 다양한 질환을 유발하며, 일부는 암유발 가능성이 있습니다. 대부분은 결막 및 호흡기 염증을 동반한 일시적 발열 질환으로 나타납니다.
면역억제 상태(AIDS 등)에서는 재활성화되어 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
Ad5 기반 아데노바이러스 벡터는 유전자 치료 연구에 활용되고 있으며, 임상적으로도 응용되고 있습니다.
바이러스 캡시드는 hexon, penton, fiber 세 주요 단백질로 구성되며, hexon은 입자당 240개 존재하는 주요 외피 단백질입니다.
