Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of NFAT2 only when phosphorylated at Ser172.
Target Information
The NFATC1 gene encodes a component of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) DNA-binding transcription complex. This complex includes a cytosolic component that translocates to the nucleus upon T cell receptor stimulation and an inducible nuclear component. NFAT family proteins play a central role in inducible gene transcription during immune responses. NFATC1 acts as a major molecular target for immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporin A. Five transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified, each potentially regulating different cytokine genes.
