Product Specific Information
Preparation: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human CD66c (CEACAM6) (Met1-Gly320) and conjugated with FITC under optimum conditions. The unreacted FITC was removed.
Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2–8°C for twelve months without detectable loss of activity. Protect from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze.
Target Information
CEA Cell Adhesion Molecule 6 (CEACAM6) is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family, consisting of GPI-anchored cell surface glycoproteins. These molecules play roles in cell adhesion and are widely used as tumor markers in carcinoma serum immunoassays. CEACAM6 influences tumor cell sensitivity to adenovirus infection and acts as a receptor for adherent-invasive E. coli on ileal epithelial cells in Crohn’s disease patients.
