They are composed of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.

While functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies—recognizing multiple epitopes and providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets—Superclonal™ antibodies have a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility across lots.

Target Information

STAT3 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3) is a member of the STAT protein family.
It is phosphorylated by receptor-associated kinases, translocates to the nucleus, and acts as a transcription factor in response to cytokines and growth factors.

• Coactivators such as CREB-binding protein are required for STAT3 transcriptional activation.
• Activated by IFN-α, IFN-γ, EGF, PDGF, and IL6.
• Phosphorylation on Tyr705 by JAK1 and JAK2 is essential for dimer formation and nuclear translocation.
• Located on the q arm of human chromosome 17.
• Plays key roles in cell growth, apoptosis, and gene regulation.
• STAT3 activity is modulated by Rac1 (activator) and PIAS3 (inhibitor).
• Three alternatively spliced variants encode distinct isoforms.
• STAT3 knockout in mice is embryonically lethal.
