Target Information
Cytokeratin 19은 intermediate filament 단백질의 한 아형으로, 인간 상피 조직에서 최소 20종 이상의 폴리펩타이드로 구성된 생화학적 다양성을 보인다. Cytokeratin의 분자량은 40–68 kDa이며, 등전점은 pH 4.9–7.8 범위이다. 각 상피 조직은 특유의 cytokeratin을 발현하며, 이는 조직의 유형 및 분화 정도와 관련이 있다. Cytokeratin 아형의 발현 패턴은 다양한 상피성 악성종양의 구분에 유용하며, 면역조직화학, 세포병리학, 유세포분석 등에서 진단적 도구로 활용된다. 예를 들어, Cytokeratin 19는 간세포에서 발현되지 않으므로 간 전이암의 식별에 유용하다.
