Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Cytokeratin 19 is a member of the intermediate filament protein family, exhibiting biochemical diversity represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins have molecular weights ranging from 40–68 kDa and isoelectric points between 4.9–7.8.
Each cytokeratin subtype (numbered 1–20) is characteristic of specific epithelial types and their differentiation states.
Cytokeratin expression patterns assist in distinguishing epithelial malignancies and are useful in immunohistochemistry, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
Cytokeratin 19 is not expressed in hepatocytes, aiding in the identification of liver metastases.
