Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

This gene encodes a membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family protein. MAGUKs interact with the cytoskeleton and regulate cell proliferation, signaling pathways, and intercellular junctions.
The encoded protein is an extensively palmitoylated membrane phosphoprotein containing PDZ, SH3, and guanylate kinase domains. It interacts with cytoskeletal and junctional proteins across various tissues and may regulate:

  • Cell shape and polarity
  • Hair cell development
  • Neural patterning of the retina
  • Tumor suppression pathways

Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
