Target Information
Annexin A2 is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein involved in cellular growth regulation and signal transduction. It acts as an autocrine factor enhancing osteoclast formation and bone resorption.
The gene has three pseudogenes on chromosomes 4, 9, and 10, and multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
