Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse EDA, Neogenin, recombinant human TWEAK R, OPG, or TNF R1 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
TWEAK is a member of the TNF family and was first described as a weak inducer of apoptosis. A receptor for TWEAK (TweakR) was isolated by expression cloning from a HUVEC cell cDNA library. TweakR is a small protein belonging to the TNF receptor superfamily and can initiate a proliferative signal by binding to TRAF1, 2, and 3. TweakR mRNA is upregulated during tissue regeneration in the aorta and liver, and may play a role in vascular cell migration and angiogenesis.
