Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human LAIR1, recombinant mouse LAIR1 or LAIR2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is similar to leukocyte-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor 1 (LAIR1), a membrane-bound receptor that modulates innate immune response.
This soluble receptor may play roles in inhibition of collagen-induced platelet aggregation and vessel formation during placental implantation.
The gene maps to region 19q13.4, the leukocyte receptor cluster, which contains 29 genes in the immunoglobulin superfamily.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
