For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD27 is a 50 kDa member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily, which includes CD40 and CD30. These receptors regulate cell proliferation and death.
CD27 and its ligand CD70 are primarily expressed on lymphocytes. CD27 expression increases upon antigen receptor stimulation, while CD70 expression requires additional co-stimulatory or pro-inflammatory signals.

CD27 exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer on mature thymocytes, peripheral blood T cells, and a subset of B cells. Activation of T cells via the TCR-CD3 complex upregulates CD27 expression and leads to the release of soluble CD27 (sCD27), a 28–32 kDa form found in plasma, urine, or spinal fluid.
Soluble CD27 serves as a prognostic marker in acute and chronic B cell malignancies. CD27 can be degraded by RgpA, a cysteine proteinase, which counteracts T cell activation mediated by CD27 and CD70. The CD27-binding protein SIVA, a pro-apoptotic protein, is thought to play a key role in CD27-induced apoptosis.

Diseases associated with CD27 dysfunction include Lymphoproliferative Syndrome 2 and Autosomal Recessive Lymphoproliferative Syndrome.
