Target Information
T-box transcription factors are a group of phylogenetically conserved genes characterized by the T-box DNA-binding domain. These genes play key roles in developmental regulation.
In mouse embryonic development, Tbx15 is expressed from day 9.5, primarily in the craniofacial region and developing limbs.
Twelve human T-box genes have been identified to date. TBX18 is involved in multiple developmental processes and functions as an antiapoptotic factor.
