Preparation
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine MCP-2 (CCL8). Anti-Murine MCP-2 (CCL8)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA
To detect Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) (500-P127) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine MCP-2 (CCL8).

Western Blot
For detection of mMCP-2 by Western blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant mMCP-2 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

This antimicrobial gene is part of a chemokine gene cluster located on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes.
This chemokine belongs to the CC subfamily, characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues. It exhibits chemotactic activity for monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils, and eosinophils.
By recruiting leukocytes to inflammation sites, it may contribute to tumor-associated leukocyte infiltration and antiviral responses against HIV infection.
