Product Specific Information
AA Sequence of recombinant protein:
GPDKAPVTCC FHVLKLKIPL RVLKSYERIN NIQCPMEAVV FQTKQGMSLC VDPTQKWVSE YMEILDQKSQ ILQP
Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine MCP-2 (CCL8). Anti-Murine MCP-2 (CCL8)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) (500-P127Bt) as a detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine MCP-2 (CCL8).
Western Blot:
For detection of Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Detection limit for Recombinant Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide.
This chemokine belongs to the CC subfamily, characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues. It displays chemotactic activity for monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils, and eosinophils. By recruiting leukocytes to sites of inflammation, this cytokine may contribute to tumor-associated leukocyte infiltration and antiviral responses against HIV infection.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
