Description:
The MIH12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human B7RP-1, also known as B7h, B7-H2, GL50, and ICOS Ligand. B7RP-1 is a member of the B7 family (~40 kDa) belonging to the Ig superfamily. It is expressed by activated monocytes/macrophages and binds to ICOS on activated T cells. The ICOS/B7RP-1 interaction plays a key role in T-cell costimulation.

Applications Reported:

• Flow cytometric analysis
• Immunohistology of frozen tissue sections
• Blocking co-stimulatory function of B7RP-1 (inhibition of T-cell proliferation and IL-10 production)

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood monocyte-derived dendritic cells.
Use ≤1 µg per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance.

Storage and Handling:
Use in a sterile environment.
Filtered post-manufacturing (0.2 µm).

Target Information

Inducible co-stimulator ligand (ICOSL) is expressed on antigen-presenting cells and peripheral tissue cells, binding to the ICOS receptor (CD28/CD152 family). ICOSL expression is induced by inflammatory stimuli and provides co-stimulatory signals for T-cell proliferation and cytokine secretion.
