Product Specific Information
Description:
AER-37 monoclonal antibody recognizes the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding component lacking signal-transducing ability. FcεRIα is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by the presence of IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits, which contain ITAM motifs. The FcεRI complex plays a key role in IgE-mediated allergic reactions.
Applications Reported:
Suitable for use in flow cytometric analysis and functional assays (e.g., stimulation of basophil migration).
Applications Tested:
Validated for flow cytometric analysis of peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤1 µg/test. A test corresponds to staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate as needed for optimal performance.
Storage and Handling:
Use under sterile conditions.
Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha):
A subunit of the high-affinity IgE receptor complex (FcεRI), which includes one alpha, one beta, and two gamma subunits. The alpha subunit binds IgE, while the beta and gamma subunits mediate signal transduction. FcεRI is crucial for initiating allergic responses. Upon allergen-induced crosslinking of IgE-FcεRI complexes, mediators such as histamine are released, leading to inflammatory responses typical of allergies like hay fever and asthma.
