Product Specific Information
The MQ1-17H12 antibody reacts with human interleukin-2 (IL-2), a 17 kDa T cell growth factor and major immunoregulatory cytokine. This antibody is non-neutralizing.
Applications Reported: MQ1-17H12 is used for intracellular flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for intracellular staining of stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage is 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell Number Range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

The IL-2 gene exhibits monoallelic expression in mature thymocytes, a unique regulatory mechanism ensuring precise gene control.
Disruption of IL-2-like genes in mice results in colitis-like disease, highlighting its critical role in immune response regulation.
